Seed company Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Company (Mahyco) plans to expand its presence in Africa and South East Asia, as it seeks to maintain a growth of 12-15 per cent in its business over the next three years.
"We are growing between 12-15 per cent per annum and expect to grow at the same rate in the next 3 years," Mahyco Chief Technology Officer Usha Zehr told PTI here.
International Postgraduate Network (IPN.org) is hosting iCABSE 2015 2nd International Conference on Agriculture, Biotechnology, Science and Engineering which will be held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on the 28-29 August 2015. Academicians, researchers and PhD/Master candidates are invited to submit papers to the conference.
Worried over decline in raw cotton prices, the government has stepped up efforts to find out new markets for the commodity. The prices are declining because of a plunge in exports to its biggest market, China, which had changed its policy on cotton imports.
The symposium aims at providing a forum for collaboration between scientists, educators, extension staff and industry to share knowledge and experiences in postharvest technology. It is expected that the symposium will lead to the establishment of a network of scientific and technical links between postharvest professional in the region.
