A collaborative cell biology lab where UC Davis researchers, students and industry scientists would conduct basic and pre-competitive research to translate genomic knowledge into useful phenotypes. Industry partners could build or lease their own research space in the lab or in adjacent buildings. They could also participate without a physical presence on campus.
