Title & excerptClassificationStatistics

The present invention relates to isolated nucleic acid molecules and
their corresponding encoded polypeptides. The present invention further
relates to the uses of these nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides. For
example, the nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides could be used in
making enzymes or used to make plants, plant cells, plant materials or
seeds of a plant having such modulated growth or phenotype
characteristics that are altered with respect to wild type plants grown
under similar conditions.

The present invention concerns a method for improving plant growth
characteristics by increasing expression in a plant of a nucleic acid
encoding a CCS52 protein and/or by increasing level and/or activity in a
plant of a CCS52 protein. The invention also relates to transgenic plants
having improved growth characteristics, such as increased plant size,
increased organ size or increased number of organs, which plants have
increased expression of a nucleic acid encoding a CCS52 protein.

A process for making toner particles is provided. In embodiments, a
suitable process includes adding a defoamer to an emulsion utilized to
form toner particles. Utilization of the defoamer allows for a reduction
in the overall aggregation/coalescence cycle time and slurry viscosity,
while producing a toner with improved GSDs, low coarse and target
circularities.

The present invention includes compositions and methods for delivering
one or more unit dosage units by modifying the release profile of an
optionally coated drug-resin complex suspended in an ionic salt solution,
wherein the optionally coated drug-resin complex includes one or more
active agents loaded on to one or more ion-exchange resin particles, and
wherein the release of the one or more active agents is modulated by the
one or more ionic salts in solution.

The functional analysis of genes frequently requires the manipulation of
large genomic regions. A yeast-bacteria shuttle vector is described that
can be used to clone large regions of DNA by homologous recombination.
Also described is a method for isolating entire genomes, including
chloroplast genomes, or large portions thereof, and manipulating the
same. Also described are methods for determining minimal genomes, minimal
pathway requirements, and minimal organelle genomes.

A building material product comprising a cementitious binder, an
aggregate and cellulose reinforcing fibers wherein the cellulose
reinforcing fibers have been treated with cationic or nonionic oil. The
resulting fiber when included in a fiber cement composite results in
improved deflection of the composite at peak loading as well as improved
impact strength while maintaining overall board strength.

This invention provides molecular constructs and methods for the
temporally specific control of gene expression in plants or in plant
pests or pathogens. More specifically, this invention provides plant
miRNA genes having novel circadian expression patterns that are useful
for designing recombinant DNA constructs for temporally specific
expression of at least one gene. Also provided are non-natural transgenic
plant cells, plants, and seeds containing in their genome a recombinant
DNA construct of this invention.

The present invention includes compositions and methods for the
controlled release of active agents in a shelf-stable liquid formulation
by blending one or more controlled release microbeads comprising one or
more active agents, preparing a dense, thixotropic solution having a
density that is at, or about, the density of the one or more microbeads
comprising a thixotropic agent, water and one or more preservatives under
conditions that reduce bubble formation and mixing the microbeads and the
thixotropic solutions in a mixer that lacks scraping paddles.
